Our Location

White Sulphur Springs is located in the Lewis & Clark National Forest between Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks on US 89 - The Kings Hill Scenic Byway -
The shortest and most scenic route possible between the national parks.

Surrounded by five mountain ranges (Little Belts, Big Belts, Castle, Crazy and Bridger Mountains) we are situated at the headwaters of the Smith River. The area has unlimited year-round outdoor recreational opportunities. Prime habitat and abundant game make our area a prime attraction for hunters seeking deer, elk, antelope, bear or mountain lions.

The White Sulphur area has over half a million acres of public land for hiking and exploring. Numerous trails can take you into remote areas where the scenery is spectacular and unspoiled.

Less than an hour away there are 5 reservoirs, 7 mountain lakes, 10 campgrounds, brookie streams too numerous to count, a major tributary to the Missouri River and miles and miles of National Forest just waiting for you to explore.

The nearest major airport is 70 miles west in Helena, MT. There is also airline service available in Bozeman (80 miles south), Great Falls (100 miles north) and Billings (150 miles east).
